Terms of Service

Last updated June 22, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Lumen (“Lumen”, “we”, “us”), a service that connects to your Google Analytics and Google Search Console data and produces plain-language reports, insights, and answers. By creating an account or using Lumen, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Lumen.

1. The service

Lumen reads the Google Analytics properties and Search Console sites you choose to connect and generates scheduled reports, insights, recommendations, and chat answers. Lumen is currently offered as an early-stage product. Features may change, and parts of the service may be added, modified, or removed as it evolves.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your access secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract and to use the connected Google services. Lumen is intended for businesses and professionals, not for personal use by children.

3. Connected Google data and your rights

When you connect a Google Analytics property or a Search Console site, you confirm that you are authorized to access that data and to let Lumen read it on your behalf. Lumen requests read-only access and uses it only to provide the features described in our Privacy Policy. You can revoke Lumen’s access at any time from your Google Account permissions; once revoked, Lumen can no longer read that data.

4. AI-generated content

Lumen’s reports, insights, recommendations, and answers are generated with the help of AI models and statistical analysis. They may be incomplete or wrong, and they are not professional, financial, legal, or business advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on it or acting on it. Decisions you make based on Lumen are your own.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Lumen to access data you are not authorized to access;
  • attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure;
  • use Lumen to violate any law, the rights of others, or the terms of any connected service such as Google’s; or
  • resell or redistribute the service in a way these Terms do not permit.

6. Third-party services

Lumen relies on third parties, including Google, AI model providers, and the delivery destinations you configure (such as a Slack, Lark, or Telegram). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. If you connect your own AI provider, that provider’s terms govern its handling of your data.

7. Fees

Lumen is currently provided free of charge while in its early stage. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we will make the pricing and terms clear before you are charged, and continued use of any paid feature will be subject to those terms.

8. Intellectual property

Lumen, including its software, design, and content we create, belongs to us and our licensors. Your connected data and the business context you provide remain yours. You grant us the limited permission needed to process that data to operate the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Lumen is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any insight or recommendation will be accurate or complete.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumen and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Termination

You can stop using Lumen at any time, disconnect your data, and request deletion of your account as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. On termination, the parts of these Terms that should reasonably survive, such as disclaimers and limits on liability, will continue to apply.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use of Lumen after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
